Laboratory created gem stones have exactly the same chemical composition as the natural gemstone. They are chemically, physically and optically identical to those mined underground — but they have fewer flaws, a lighter carbon footprint and cost a lot less. They’re not gem imitations; lab-created gemstones are the real deal.  A synthetic gem is a man-made material with essentially the same chemical composition, crystal structure and optical and physical properties as the natural gem material.
