Rhona at work carving her wax model in the Workshop. Rhona has been making her own precious jewellery for several years and came to the Workshop to expand her knowledge of more advanced techniques.
Rhona’s wax carving was cast in silver and now looks like this. With the casting process an exact replica of the wax model is created in metal. This is an ancient technique used by the Egyptions and other ancient civilisations.
Rhona created this carved wax model in January 2018 for the lost wax casting process. Her completed silver casting is also shown alongside.
